Melissa Landolt is the Human Resources Manager at the William Davidson Foundation, where she leads and coordinates a full range of HR functions. In her role, Melissa oversees recruitment and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, maintenance of employee records, and compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies. She serves as a day‑to‑day resource for colleagues seeking guidance on workplace practices, employee benefits, and the Foundation’s employee handbook. As part of the Operations team, she collaborates with colleagues across the organization to ensure HR practices align with the Foundation’s values and contribute to a positive, consistent employee experience. Her work also includes partnering with the Office Management team to coordinate team‑building activities and celebrations and supporting efforts to strengthen employee wellness.

Before joining the Foundation, Melissa brought more than 15 years of broad human resources leadership experience. Most recently, she served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. She previously held HR Manager roles in the technology and manufacturing sectors and spent seven years as the HR Manager at Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Hills. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Oakland University and maintains her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification through the HR Certification Institute.

A lifelong Michigander, Melissa grew up in the Rochester Hills area and now resides in Shelby Township with her family.
